Built for real places

Trusted by teams building the future

Customer stories.

Your team’s portal

One workspace where your company runs its AI characters: shared characters and knowledge, your team, usage and API secrets. Nothing to install.

  • Shared AI characters

Build a character once and share it with the whole team; colleagues edit it together.

  • Company knowledge

Upload policies, catalogs and slides once; every shared character answers from them.

  • Team and roles

Invite colleagues as admins or members. Ownership moves cleanly when people change roles.

  • Usage by person and character

See who used what, with a runway estimate, and export it for finance.

  • Company API secrets

API secrets belong to the workspace, not to one person, so they outlive a staff change.

  • Your brand

Your logo, name and colours across the portal your team signs in to.

Plan your data flow

When the avatar renders on your hardware and the conversation runs on your own services, bitHuman receives usage metering only — never audio, video or conversation text. With the web embed, the conversation runs on bitHuman's servers, even when the avatar renders in the tab.

Security & privacy

Explore your setting

AI avatars for places where data has to stay put

A face and a voice for bank branches, show floors, museums and the devices you build, rendered on hardware you control.

Banking & ATMs

An AI avatar for the branch, the kiosk and the ATM

An avatar that runs inside the terminal, so customer conversations can stay on your network.

bitHuman renders a lifelike, lip-synced avatar on the terminal's own processor, so customers get a face and a voice at the machine, and their conversations can stay on your network.

Runs inside the terminal

Linux PCs and terminals (x86_64 and arm64) through the CLI or Python; Android terminals through the Android SDK. Windows-based terminals: talk to us.

Running without a GPU

Conversations stay on your network

On a connected Linux terminal, the CLI's local conversation brain keeps speech, the language model and the voice on the machine; or use your own services inside your network. bitHuman then receives usage metering only.

The local brain still signs in and reports usage online, so it needs a network connection; it is not part of the offline license.

Keeps working without the internet

Offline licensing

Fits the systems you already run

bitHuman renders the avatar and, if you choose, runs the conversation. Authentication, card handling and transactions stay in your existing systems; your application decides what the avatar says and when.

Working with us

Financial-services deployments are set up under an enterprise agreement and review.

Trade shows, museums & kiosks

AI avatars for kiosks, museums and trade-show stands

Runs on the local machine, and with an offline license needs no venue internet.

Show floors and galleries are where networks fail. bitHuman renders on the local machine, a Mac or a Linux PC, so the avatar doesn't stream from a data center. A Linux offline license runs with no internet at all.

On the local machine

The avatar renders on the kiosk's own computer. An online session checks your credential when it starts and keeps rendering through a network drop of up to 5 minutes.

Measured performance

No venue internet

Offline license is only available to Business and Enterprise clients who want to run avatars completely locally, off the internet — e.g. kiosks, trade shows, ATM machines, embedded screens. Linux PCs and terminals; arranged through sales.

From 100,000 credits. Essence 1 runs fully offline on Linux (x86_64 and ARM64) today. Essence 2 offline comes later. Expression 2 runs fully offline on Linux x86_64 with an offline pack.

Offline licensing

Operating notes

In the bitHuman cloud and in bitHuman Live, credits pay for active session time, talking or idle, by the exact second. On your own devices or servers, current versions of the Essence 2 and Expression 2 SDKs, the bitHuman Python SDK and the bitHuman CLI charge credits only for the seconds the character is speaking, not for the time it waits. Size your credits for opening hours. Setup and restart guidance is in the docs.

Kiosks and ATMs (docs)

Embedded devices

Put an avatar in the device you build

SDKs for Android, iOS, macOS and Linux that render on the device's own processor.

Essence 2 and Expression 2 ship as SDKs that render on the device's own processor: Android (arm64, from maven.bithuman.ai), iPhone, iPad and Mac (Swift package), and Linux or macOS (CLI and Python).

Network

Devices check in when a session starts and keep rendering through a network drop of up to 5 minutes. On Android, after the one-time model download, the only network traffic is usage reporting. Fully disconnected operation is available on Linux under an offline license.

Essence 1 runs fully offline on Linux (x86_64 and ARM64) today. Essence 2 offline comes later. Expression 2 runs fully offline on Linux x86_64 with an offline pack.

Credentials

Each device authenticates with an API secret when a session starts. Use a separate secret for each device fleet, and rotate it if a device is lost.

API secrets (docs)

Where it renders

On the device, on your own servers, in the bitHuman cloud, or fully offline. Compare the four modes

MINT Museum

Case study

MINT Museum leaps ahead in visitor engagement with bitHuman's AI ambassador

MINT Museum launched The Little Prince, a museum AI ambassador powered by bitHuman, for personalized visitor experiences and ticketing.

“The Little Prince has transformed how visitors interact with our museum. He answers questions, guides tours, and handles ticketing—all while bringing the timeless character to life. It's like having a knowledgeable guide available 24/7.”
— MINT Museum of Toys, Singapore

Background

MINT Museum of Toys is Singapore's premier destination for vintage toys and childhood memorabilia, housing one of the world's most extensive collections—spanning the 1840s to the 1980s and more than 40 countries.

The museum attracts visitors of all ages, from families with young children to nostalgic adults seeking to reconnect with their childhood. However, like many cultural institutions, MINT Museum needed innovative ways to engage younger, tech-savvy audiences who expect interactive, personalized experiences beyond static displays.

Challenge

  • Demand for High-Quality, Realistic AI Experiences

MINT Museum needed an AI ambassador that was realistic enough to engage visitors authentically. The voice, appearance, and interactions needed to feel natural and trustworthy—not robotic or scripted.

  • Need for Scalable, Cost-Effective Solution

With thousands of daily visitors, the museum required a solution that could handle high traffic without compromising performance, all while maintaining reasonable operational costs.

  • Integration with Existing Museum Operations

The AI ambassador needed to seamlessly integrate with ticketing systems and provide accurate information about exhibits, programs, and museum history without disrupting the visitor experience.

Solution

After evaluating multiple AI avatar providers, MINT Museum chose bitHuman for its developer-first platform, cost-effectiveness, and proven stability in high-traffic environments.

  • Easy Integration & Developer Support

bitHuman's straightforward API integration allowed MINT Museum to deploy The Little Prince quickly, minimizing development time and enabling rapid iteration.

  • On-Premise Deployment

The Little Prince renders on a single Mac Mini inside the museum, on hardware MINT Museum controls.

  • Why The Little Prince?

The character from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's timeless novella embodies curiosity and wonder—perfect for a museum that celebrates childhood imagination. He reminds visitors that “what is essential is invisible to the eye,” connecting the museum's mission with universal themes of discovery and nostalgia.

Private by design

The Little Prince renders on-premise, on a single Mac Mini in the museum, so the avatar's audio and video stay there. When the conversation also runs on the museum's own voice and language services, bitHuman receives usage metering only—never audio, video or conversation text.

For cultural institutions with strict data-governance obligations, that architecture matters: when the avatar renders on your own hardware, its audio and video stay there—without added operational overhead.

  • Data Stays On-Site

The avatar renders on the museum's own device, so its audio and video stay on-site and there is no video stream to intercept in transit.

  • Hardware You Control

Running on hardware you control keeps the avatar's audio and video on your site and under your own governance policies.

  • Deploy Your Way

The same avatar can run on-device, on-premise, or in a private cloud—so your security and IT teams stay in control of where data lives.

Impact

The deployment of The Little Prince has delivered improvements across visitor engagement, operational efficiency, and user experience.

  • Accelerated Visitor Engagement

The Little Prince provides personalized responses to visitor questions, reducing wait times and enhancing the overall museum experience.

  • Operational Efficiency

By handling routine inquiries and ticketing, The Little Prince frees museum staff to focus on specialized tours and personalized visitor interactions.

  • Enhanced User Experience

Visitors can interact with The Little Prince live, receiving information about exhibits, programs, and museum history in an engaging, conversational format.

    Information kiosk guide

Background

NRF: Retail's Big Show is the world's largest retail event, bringing together over 40,000 retail professionals, solution providers, and industry leaders at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The event features hundreds of exhibitors, dozens of educational sessions, and countless networking opportunities across multiple floors and halls.

With such a massive scale, attendees often struggle to navigate the convention center, locate specific exhibitor booths, find session rooms, and get timely information about schedule changes or event updates. NRF needed an innovative solution to enhance the attendee experience and provide accurate guidance throughout the event.

Challenge

  • Navigating a Massive Convention Center

The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center spans multiple floors and halls, making it challenging for attendees to find specific exhibitor booths, session rooms, and networking events.

  • Live Information Needs

Attendees need access to up-to-date information about session schedules, speaker changes, booth locations, and event updates.

Solution

NRF partnered with bitHuman to deploy 10 AI-powered virtual conference guides, strategically positioned throughout the Javits Convention Center. Each guide rendered on its kiosk and served as an interactive information kiosk, helping attendees navigate the event and discover exhibitors, sessions, and networking opportunities.

  • Booth Location Guidance

Virtual guides provide accurate directions to any exhibitor booth, helping attendees navigate the massive convention center efficiently.

  • Event Information

Guides answer questions about session schedules, speaker information, networking events, and live updates.

  • Ten Guides Across the Show Floor

Deployed throughout the Javits Convention Center, these virtual guides serve as greeters and information hubs, drawing visitors in with engaging personalities while delivering accurate, helpful answers.

  • Enhanced Navigation

Virtual guides provide accurate directions to exhibitor booths and session rooms.

  • Increased Visitor Engagement

The engaging personalities of the virtual guides attract visitors to information kiosks.

  • Live Information Access

Attendees receive up-to-date information about session schedules and event updates.

Private by design

Every one of the 10 kiosks rendered bitHuman's live avatars on the device, so each avatar's audio and video stayed on the hardware in the hall.

  • On-Device Processing

Each avatar renders live directly on the kiosk, so its audio and video stay on local hardware.

  • Data Stays in Your Control

When the avatar renders on your hardware and you use your own voice and language services, bitHuman receives usage metering only—never audio, video or conversation text.

  • Deploy Anywhere

The same avatars run on-device, on-premise, or in a private cloud—so your security and compliance teams decide exactly where data lives.

  • Enterprise Events, Enterprise Privacy

Private by design means engagement at scale without the exposure. Ten kiosks served thousands of attendees, each avatar rendered on the kiosk itself.

Questions

Can bitHuman run on the device?
Yes. Essence 2 and Expression 2 render on iPhone and iPad, Android (arm64), Mac, Linux and in browsers with WebGPU. Measured results for each device are published at docs.bithuman.ai/performance.
Can bitHuman run without an internet connection?
Yes, with an offline license: see Trade shows, museums & kiosks on this page. Packs start at 100,000 credits.
Does customer audio or video leave our network?
When the avatar renders on your hardware, its audio and video stay there. The conversation runs where you choose: the CLI's local conversation brain, your own speech and language services, or bitHuman's cloud voice service. With the first two, bitHuman receives usage metering only — never audio, video or conversation text. The local brain still signs in and reports usage online, so it needs a network connection; it is not part of the offline license. In the bitHuman cloud, and with the web embed, audio and conversation are processed by bitHuman and its service providers to run the session.
Does bitHuman train on our data?
Your photo is used to build your own avatar. If you need a written answer about model training for your organization, contact us.
